If James Bond was in the market for a home on Phuket, this is the one he’d choose!

For sheer WOW-factor Villa Mayavee ticks all the boxes; the EXACT right combination of seclusion, style, sea-views and stunning design. The sort of place Bond, and his romantic companion, would love to disappear to after successfully preventing SPECTRE from taking over the world.

Back to reality, this is just another beautiful example of modern luxury living in Phuket, available to those who can afford it.

Big, bold, linear lines and large glass expanses overlooking the Andaman Sea, allow the owner protected views from the west when inclement monsoon weather is about, or open-up the sliding glass to let the elements inside and enjoy a cooling on-shore sea breeze.

Situated on a cliff top in Kamala, Villa Mayavee faces westward across the open ocean to glorious sunsets and is securely and privately situated at the end of a magnificent tree-lined boulevard of mature tropical flora, within a private residential estate of only eight other premium homes. Such is its position and outlook, that one can gain 360-degree views from many points on the property, particularly from the roof terrace.

Set in 3,100 sq. metres of sloping land, the villa has a gross built floor area of 2,400 sq. metres, half of which is internal space.

Multiple covered seating areas and open-air terraces throughout the villa provide al fresco dining and relaxation areas in addition to the internal air-conditioned formal, informal and TV lounge areas.

Villa Mayavee has three distinct structural components, aligned in an ‘S’ shape viewed from above. The central, and most obvious part is the massive ‘floating’ open living/dining / kitchen deck, parallel to the oceanfront, overlooking the extravagantly wide 21-metre by 5-metre swimming pool and sunbathing terrace. This rectangular space sets the modern theme.

With direct access to the living space, you link with the owners’ private suite, with its own 15-metre lap pool, spacious dressing room, and a private office suite.

There’s an additional dining/breakfast eating area, which forms part of a very impressive commercial-grade kitchen, with every modern appliance you can think of.

Modern homes of this calibre are often designed with the premium spaces assigned to the owners’’ accommodation, and with three guest bedrooms, albeit all with fabulous views, being housed in a separate structure. This is true of Villa Mayavee, but guests have the added benefit of a well-equipped gym and sauna under the same roof.

The villa was custom-designed by Martin Palleros of Terra Designs. All materials were carefully chosen to exude quality and textural richness. These extend from the natural exterior stonework, to the Japanese pool tiles, to the beautifully laid interior solid wood and French limestone and sandstone floors, the top quality, oversize glazing solutions to the furniture, which runs as a who’s who of European chic, with Poliform, Gandia Blasco, Boffi and Dornbracht, Paola Lenti and Minitti well represented.

“It’s M on the phone again for you Mr. Bond, do you want to take it?”
