    The Widder Kitchen at Phuket’s SILK

    Zurich based executive chef Tino Roberto Staub cooks for one night only in Phuket

    Andara Resort & Villas, one of Phuket’s top resorts known for its stunning Thai modern suites and pool villas, welcomes rising star Executive Chef Tino Roberto Staub from The Widder Hotel Zurich to showcase his modern European-Asian cuisine for one night only on 15th January 2020. 

    To complement the dinner, famed Ms. Benjawan Wisootsat, FIN Wine (Fabulous as Needed) from Bangkok joins with exciting wine pairings for the evening. At the Widder Kitchen at SILK night, Chef Tino will introduce his famous bold flavours with his signature focus on key ingredients in Phuket for the first time. Swiss-born Chef Tino is one of Europe’s most celebrated rising young chefs with 15 points from Gault Millau and a passion for Asian-inspired creations. 

    “It’s my first time to showcase our take on modern cuisine from The Widder Kitchen and layer awe-inspiring Thai ingredients and culture. To be cooking with award-winning SILK’s team is an honour,” said Chef Tino. 

    “We are thrilled to host the talented Chef Tino as our first guest chef of 2020,” added Andara’s General Manager Daniel Meury. “Chef Tino’s approach on modern cuisine is a fabulous match for our guests and local gastronomic community. We are equally excited to have one of the top connoisseurs of small, boutique wines, FIN Wine’s Khun Benjawan, to curate the artisanal wine pairing.” 

    The Widder Kitchen at SILK menu highlights include a selection of favourite signature dishes such as salmon with Thai mango, spicy mayo and sesame, risotto Ticino style, roasted beef fillet with green asparagus, and panna cotta mit weisser schokolade. Chef Tino’s innovative four-course tasting menu with FIN’s artisanal wine pairing is a one night only at the resort’s signature modern Thai restaurant, SILK Restaurant and Bar.

    Complimentary welcome drink 7-8pm, Dinner starts at 8pm, 15 January 2020. Dinner is 2,900 Baht++ per person, artisanal wine pairings starting from 1,500 Baht++.
