The story of American silk merchant, and intelligence officer Jim Thompson is shrouded in mystery. Having made Thailand his home, with villas in Bangkok and Phuket, he disappeared on a trip to Malaysia on 26th March 1967. No one knows why, and he’s never been seen since. Before his disappearance he had managed to put Thai silk back on the map, and his legacy lives on, as the brand that bears his name has grown globally, to legendary status.
