EVENINGS THROUGHOUT FEBRUARY 2025
Evening’s throughout February are special at Phuket’s largest and most significant temple, Wat Chalong. It is Temple Fair time. Every night from 7pm, visitors are entertained by famous Thai folk (luk-thung) singers and thrilled by traditional southern Thai puppeteers. It first began in the 1930s as a harvest festival for local farmers living around Wat Chalong. After lots of hard work and a successful harvest they would get together and create a kind of fun fair on the temple grounds. Don’t miss the temple’s spiritual ceremonies, allowing visitors to explore its cultural significance. A must-visit for food lovers, families, and culture enthusiasts.
