The 2026 MICHELIN Guide has been released, bringing renewed recognition to Phuket and Phang-Nga’s most accomplished kitchens. This year’s highlights include returning stars, sustainability accolades, a strengthened Bib Gourmand lineup and two major individual awards that spotlight Phuket’s rising talent.

    The Starred Restaurants

PRU, Phuket – One Michelin Star & One Green Star

    Pru Restaurant

PRU continues to lead Phuket’s fine-dining landscape as the longest standing (and only) holder of the Red and Green Star on the island. Earned through its long-standing commitment to Thai-grown ingredients and regenerative agriculture, Chef Jimmy Ophorst continues to shine in the Thai cooking scene, leading the way on innovation and excellence.

Aulis, Phang-Nga – One Michelin Star

    Aulis Phuket, GraMonte Vinery

In it’s two years of opening, Simon Rogan’s 15-seat Chef’s table concept led by Head Chef Charlie Wilson and award-winning server Arsen Brahaj has continued to amaze. Embodying the Rogan ethos, their hyper-seasonal produce and constantly changing Chef’s menu has in it’s two years earned a Michelin star, and then retained it. The experience remains among the region’s best, with a tight connection between kitchen, farm, and guest, brought to life by the amazing team there.

Jampa, Phuket – One Green Star

    Jampa Restaurant

Jampa maintains its Green Star for its wood-fired, zero-waste philosophy and its close collaboration with local growers. Pru’s sister restaurant Jampa within it’s home in sustainability sanctuary Trivanada has continued to innovate within Phuket, making the most of their shared farm ensures real, fresh ingredients as a minimum to create the best in fresh food.

Bib Gourmand 2026: 19 Phuket Favourites

    Niyom Salt Grilled Duck

Phuket’s Bib Gourmand selection reflects the island’s essential everyday dining – neighbourhood kitchens, street food specialists and long-loved family restaurants which have always thrived within the Phuket eating scene.

    Special Awards

Alongside its restaurant distinctions, the 2026 MICHELIN Guide highlights two individuals whose work embodies the spirit of Thailand’s evolving dining culture. Both awards recognise personalities who shape the guest experience beyond what appears on the plate – in service, leadership, and an embodiment of what excellent dining is all about.

    MICHELIN Guide Service Award

    Arsen Brahaj; Aulis Phuket

Winner: Arsen Brahaj, Restaurant Manager, Aulis Phuket

Arsen is celebrated for elevating Aulis’ intimate Chef’s Table format through his unique style of service which manages the tricky balance of practiced refinement and instinctive humanity. Originally from Albania, he is fluent in four languages and brings international experience, learning skills at the highest standard in Simon Rogan’s 2-Michelin-starred restaurant ION Harbour in Malta. At Aulis, he anchors the guest experience: welcoming diners, leading pairings, and maintaining a seamless rhythm between kitchen and table. His approach blends precision with warmth, making him one of the region’s most respected service figures, and a friend to anyone who enters.

    MICHELIN Guide Young Chef Award

    Chef Mond; Royd

    Winner: Suwijak Kunghae, Chef-Owner, Royd

Raised in Phuket within a culinary family, Suwijak (Mond) Kunghae represents the island’s new generation of chef-entrepreneurs. His foundation in French fine dining informs the discipline and technique behind Royd, but it is his deep connection to Southern Thai flavours that defines his work. Chef Mond sources directly from local fishermen and coastal communities, folding traditional recipes, memories and maritime influences into a modern format. The award acknowledges not only his skill, but his role in pushing Southern Thai cuisine into a new era of elevated dining, rooted in Phuket’s local identity.
