Already a level above in luxury, Central Phuket takes it to new heights with the arrival of European stars, one-of-a-kind food & drink offerings and rewards for it all

    By Alessia Kerr

CENTRAL PHUKET FLORESTA wing has been the premier in luxury and exclusivity since being built in 2018. Four stories of high-quality fashion options, accessories, and eateries. Fashion ranges from the best of the best with Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci, European mainstays who have made their way to the finest high-end shopping in Phuket, with the likes of Omega and PMT the Hour Glass’s Rolex iconic timepiece collections. These historical fashion houses have found a new home in the Floresta wing of Central Phuket and brush shoulders with many other shining stars of the retail world. Big brands such as:

    ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

    BOTTEGA VENETA

    DIOR

    HERMES

    VERSACE

    ZEGNA

All the outlets on the scene reflect the brand’s distinctive chic, flair, and personality, in both the store’s interior and their in-vogue products. A shopaholic could spend all day here and still feel like they would have to come again!

THESE LUXURY FASHION AND DESIGN STORES are not the only luxury listings in the building though. Also in the Floresta wing is the Central department store and the world of beauty, skincare and scents to wear, offering Dior, Sephora and more. I couldn’t believe the number of flagship boutiques I saw last time I went, all predominantly from the world of high-end beauty. From the timeless Dior and Chanel to the alluring Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, every corner held a discovery. La Mer’s offered luxurious skincare and M.A.C had its usual vibrant palettes, while the transformative power of SK-II and Estée Lauder promised ageless beauty. Jo Malone’s enchanting scents added to the sensory experience, making Central Phuket more than just a shopping destination—it is a haven for fashion and beauty enthusiasts.

But move along because more is to come.

LUXURY DESIGNER Prada is bringing its high-quality sophistication and innovative designs from Milan to Phuket, with its clothing, accessories, footwear, and fragrances. Renowned worldwide for its tailored and minimalist aesthetic, blending modernity with traditional craftsmanship, their elegance, exclusivity, and distinctive artistic approach make it a perfect fit for the premier shopping mall on the island, and will fit right in with the other European powers around, but Prada isn’t the only one.

BRITISH BRAND Burberry will also join the European stars, epitomising British elegance with their high-end accessories and London street-wear style fashion, Burberry will seamlessly blend their iconic chic with Phuket’s smart-wear scene. With a legacy dating back to 1856, Burberry’s clean and classic style promises to elevate any wardrobe and joins the A-list cast of luxury at Central Phuket.

    LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST,

anticipate the arrival of the Louis Vuitton pop-up shop, promising the epitome of immersive luxury shopping. The renowned Parisian fashion house which has dominated the global fashion landscape in recent years, now seeks to make its mark in Southeast Asia with signature style and opulence, promising a one-of-a-kind shopping experience with the pop-up showcasing their legendary Damier print, conceived in 1888 by Louis, and son George Vuitton.

BE SURE TO EXPERIENCE this wall-to-wall elegance, all available under one roof; with offerings unrivalled on the island. Central Phuket is constantly looking to cater to the highest levels of luxury, and a perfect day shopping can’t be complete without a couple cups of coffee, and some food to break it all up and give your legs a needed rest.

%ARABICA enters the Phuket market to open their first-ever Thailand branch outside of Bangkok, and where else but Central Phuket? The story of %Arabica is the story of a man who understands the joy of simple needs being met, and what a good cup of coffee can do. Coffee beans sourced from their farm in Hawaii, and a flagship espresso machine, touted as the best in the world, are the foundations of the flavours that light up every cup of coffee they serve. This coffee house has proven its quality in the testing grounds of Kyoto Japan, and has expanded internationally to continue trying to serve the best coffee possible.

IF YOU’RE IN THE MARKET for a slightly stronger drink, Open Deck, in Central Phuket Floresta has the hottest new craft brews on the top floor. After all the shopping, kick your feet up with a cold Chalawan IPA or a Mahanakon weiss beer, a live band may even accompany the cold drink, creating the perfect chill-out ambience on your shopping day out. The Open Deck, which brags its new beer collection, won’t just quench your thirst, but will also provide food bites for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with a variety of options. Each little eatery is its own space, boasting your Italian pasta staples at La Casina Rosa and all the other simple favourites from a Subway sandwich to a casual Cantonese chicken rice at Boon Tong Kee.

IF YOU’RE IN SEARCH OF THE BEST of the best though, and a unique one-of-a-kind experience is more to your taste, then dive into Su Va Na Phuket an underwater restaurant experience only available at Aquaria Phuket, which is a feat in itself to check out. Su Va Na crafts a fine dining vibe, with the best in food options and a chic timeless interior design under and surrounded by water. The perfect and only place to experience the delight of quality food, and, if you’re lucky, a magic mermaid show too which is guaranteed to wow any kids around.

AFTER A LONG DAY out in Central Phuket (and it will be a long day for the shopaholics out there), they are opening a brand new late-night zone too, which will stay open all the way ‘til midnight to hopefully help any of those late-night cravings. There’s a bit of something for everyone – icons like Taco Bell and Lavanille are in the space, as well as newcomers Pizza & Co, and Thongtara who will be up late serving the best in Pizza or Indian.

CENTRAL PHUKET is a Smörgåsbord of high-quality shopping outlets, F&B and more, and will reward you for being there. For the extra indulgent amongst you, who are looking to live their holidays in supreme HiSo style luxury limo services, VIP parking, exclusive lounges, brand privileges and other exciting honours are there to be gained from spending at Central Phuket, the luxury lifestyle landmark of Phuket.
