The hotel industry has dramatically evolved over the years. First moving into the exhibition and convention business in the 50’s, hotels followed up by entering the casino market, then into resorts and spas, and more recently private villa operations. The Pavilions Hotels and Resorts have now gone one step further, they have moved into the ‘wellness and longevity’ space

As science has helped humans become more adept at preventing and curing diseases, most developed countries around the world have seen their population’s average life expectancy extend into the eighties. With technology rapidly progressing it won’t be long before living to one hundred years old will be par for the course.
The focus in modern society is shifting away from healing and moving into enhancing wellness and longevity. It’s all about science and technology, these are the keys to the future, some would say they offer a double-edged sword as they will lead to our longevity as a species but equally to our demise.
The people at The Pavilions are calculating that leisure time and wellbeing will become increasingly interwoven. People will want to utilise the extra leisure time they have on feeling better, being healthier, and yes, living longer. The old maxim “living life to the full’’ now becomes “living a long life to the full”.

Conveniently located adjacent to the Life Balance Centre , which offers a gym, personal trainers, yoga, meditation, sound healing and nutrition coaching (from certified instructors), The Pavilions Wellbeing and Vitality Centre at Life Balance has just opened its doors in Cherngtalay.
Most people at some time or another have taken over-the-counter vitamin supplement pills; in the hope they will become healthier. The Pavilions Wellbeing and Vitality are offering an alternative to this hit and miss approach to health, they are in effect replacing the ‘hope’ of improvement into the ‘surety’ of it.
Their programmes will remove any doubt as to whether the client will be healthier or not because doctors make medical assessments, through a series of tests and fact gathering interviews, to come up with customised solutions that precisely meet the needs of the individual client. Nothing is off the shelf here; everything is individually curated.

This powerful approach to wellness combines holistic techniques with cutting edge technology and medical expertise. They specialise in areas such as immunity optimisation, nutrient therapy and longevity treatments.
The customised treatments created are more often than not delivered via high quality IVs (containing a cocktail of nutrients, vitamins and minerals), and peptide add-ons like NAD+ (Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide , which is central energy metabolism) and Ozone Therapy (a machine that mixes ozone into the patients’ blood, to fast track the production of proteins and red blood cells, critical in fighting infection).

The professional medical team is headed by Thai qualified practitioner, Dr. Sittiporn Charoenkwan (Dr. Jay for short), who is a specialist in holistic medicine having successfully opened regenerative medical centres in Bangkok in the past. He and his team of clinicians and nurses are available between 9 am and 6 pm, every day except public holidays.
The Pavilions Wellbeing and Vitality is primarily targeting retired, and younger professionals from Thailand and abroad who have made Phuket their home. But if you are here on holiday you can also make an appointment to complete the health and longevity assessment. This can be done either at the centre in Cherngtalay, or visits can be arranged to any hotel or villa rental on Phuket. Clients from overseas, who sign up for a programme can have supplements sent to their home countries, with full medical certifications for customs clearance.

If you are a guest staying at The Pavilions Phuket in Layan, you are even luckier because there is a regular shuttle to Life Balance , and the medical staff will be more than happy to pay you a visit at the resort.
